MAKING US LOVE PUNK ROCK ALL OVER AGAIN...

Back in 1995, when this movie was made, I failed my senior year of high school (don’t worry I went on to graduate from a University) a lot of you are a little younger so maybe you never saw this, so here’s a piece of history for ya. Rancid has always been one of our favorite bands, and always will be. In 2002 I lived in a rat hole in D.C. with no heat or hot water (much love KT my fellow soldier) and their record that came out that year helped me through many an ice cold shower. I got jumped, stabbed and held up with a sawed off shotgun that year. A lot has changed, in music, in life and well, I guess just a lot but a lot of stuff never changes… I still love Rancid and I can still withstand the coldest of showers, haha. *Look for the 2:45 mark where Tim tells the future “TRANSPLANTS” the name of one of his bands years later. **Look up The Clash’s RUDE BOY movie or watch Ghetto Defendant YO!

Rancid is one of the best bands to ever exist. And I think it’s amazing how much music can change your life and influence everything you do and how you turn out <3 I’m glad you had them back then and now.

Damn Josh! You’ve been through a whole lot! Glad to see that you made it out alive and are here to bring your talents to others. The cold showers would definately suk and to be stabbed and held up with a shotgun…that scares me to think you’ve experienced all of that. But here you are blogging and successful at your craft(s). Used to be super into rancid. I’m not denying that they did alot for the music world, but I guess I maybe outgrew them a little bit, maybe? Anyway, maybe seeing them august 17th will bring back the love.(but, gotta be honest, only bought the tix to support my favorite band, Bomb the Music Industry!)
